Keynote Luncheon: Keynote Luncheon: L.A. Banks has penned over 30 novels and 11 novellas in a wide range of genres with her roots firmly in romance. She is the recipient of the 2008 Essence Magazine Storyteller of the Year Award. Under the pseudonyms; L.A. Banks, Leslie Esdaile, Leslie E. Banks, Leslie Banks, and Leslie Esdaile Banks, she has won several business as well as literary awards including the prestigious Emma award for outstanding romance.   

Intimate Sessions: Ten select readers will meet with the author of the hour. The readers are selected on a first come first serve basis, so register for the conference early so you can choose whose intimate session you will attend. Book Signing: For those of you who have never attended a Romance Slam Jam book signing, you are in for a treat. We know that over the years you have saved your favorite romance novels. The Book Signing is your chance to have those novels signed by the attending authors! (This event is open to the public and a book vendor will be on site).

Emma Awards Banquet: Named after the co-founder of the Romance Slam Jam, the Emma Awards is the premier awards event for readers and authors of Black romance. Formal attire is not required, but this is the one event we ask you to dress up. 

Pass The Torch/Town Hall: Though we wish the conference would never end, we must all return home. Before you leave, we need to have a Romance Slam Jam family discussion, pass the torch to the next host city and say goodbye to our friends.
