Slam Jam Anniversary Cruise Cancelled |
April Fools!
Of course the cruise hasn’t been cancelled. Next week the
RSJ Family gets together to share our love of Black romance and
Women’s fiction. I’m receiving emails from many expressing how they
can’t wait to see each other again. Be sure to bring your cameras
everyone and take plenty of pictures so you can send them to me
SMILE.
Sorry for missing the newsletter last month. I was having serious
technical difficulties that weren’t corrected until almost mid month
so I decided to just skip the newsletter.
If you haven’t sent in your RSJ Registration fee
or fair for the bus to the pier, please drop it in the mail by
tomorrow. The last day I’ll be receiving mail is next Wednesday (7
April). I also suggest everyone attending the cruise check in
online.
The Black Romance Online Book Club is THE BOMB! In March Gigi Gunn
came and hung out with us. If you haven't read her novel Living
Inside Your Love, what are you waiting for? SMILE
We haven't selected a novel for April to discuss, but that doesn't
mean we stop discussing book.Come on and join in on the fun. I know you want to talk about
some of these books we're reading with others who enjoyed them. We
don't wait until book discussion day. We keep the party going all
month long.
Our online book club is hosted at
http://www.shelfari.com. You'll need to sign up for a
membership, which is free, and join the
Black Romance Book Club.

Hello RSJ family,
As always, Dyanne is bringing it big with her interviews.
She's started a new section called Book Talk. She interviewed two
RSJ Founders, Emma Rodgers and Ashira Tosihwe. Last but not least
she has interviews with authors Kimberly Kaye Terry, Michelle Monkou
and Angela Kay Austin.
Be sure to head on over to the
Blogspot and show your support.

Readers, Authors, Aspiring Authors, Editors..Heck, the entire RSJ
Family. If you are interested in being interviewed, please contact
Dyanne Davis (davisdyanne@aol.com)
Until next month, enjoy!

I
hope everyone is well and enjoying Spring 2010! I'm enjoying the
longer days. The extra sunlight is having a positive effect on my
disposition, much to my family's relief.
Spring also welcomes the release of my contemporary romance, Heated
Rivalry. It's due to arrive in stores April 6, 2010. Heated Rivalry
features an ex-NBA-star-turned-advertising-executive, Steven
Crennell who fakes an engagement to his boss's daughter, advertising
account executive Valerie Parker. But when Valerie asks for a favor
in return, is the price too high for either of them to pay?
You know how much I love exploring story themes. Heated Rivalry's
theme is self worth. Who decides your value - you? Or do you allow
others to determine your worth?
If you have a chance to read Heated Rivalry, I'd love to know what
you think?
Happy reading!
