I’ve received several emails and even a phone call or two from RSJ
Family members expressing how much they will miss not seeing each
other in 2009. I’m with you.
Don’t forget other events members of the RSJ Family often attend
such as the Beverly Jenkins Pajama Party that crams entirely too
much fun into a weekend. Details haven’t been released yet, but the
event is usually in September or October of the odd year. Soooo 2009
it is. If you need an online romance community, check out
Beverly’s club. In BevLand we talk books and just about
everything else…well everything else also. It’s a great place to
obtain first hand information about the Pajama Party from people who
have attended and will be attending in the future.
Beverly's website will have 2009 Pajama Party information up
early next year.
Come June, Brenda Jackson’s
Madaris/Westmoreland Family Reunion Cruise will be hitting the
high seas for Canada! Besides the wonderful cruise, there will be a
book signing, Bachelor Auction, book discussions and other great
activities!
Keep an ear out. As I’ve said, a few of
the RSJ Family members have been in touch with me and are planning
mini RSJ activities in their various regions. You didn’t hear it
here, but Chicago and Shreveport may be having a little something,
something. If you are planning a romance activity to help hold you
over until our Anniversary Cruise in 2010, let me know and I’ll be
glad to help you spread the word!

Merry Christmas and a very Happy New Year to the
Romance Slam Jam family:
Consider this request I (Dyanne) am about to make, and think about
how you can do your part. It would be a great way to join in and
give back at the same time. By now everyone is aware of the
cancellation of RSJ 2009. We will need to work extra hard to keep
you connected with what’s going on without a visit to remind you how
much you’re loved by all who attend the Slams.
Here’s where you come in. We’ve now decided to include interviews
with aspiring authors and readers, as well as the established
authors. I need your help. PLEASE. I need family members to
interview. If you’re reading the newsletter then you already know
that the questions are harmless and fun. Just email me:
dyanne@romanceslamjam.org.
Thanks for considering helping me out. Again Happy Holidays.
This months interviews are with Author Andrea
Jackson and Aspiring Author Brenda Willis.
Again, please leave comments for the authors so
we know you've been there. Even if it's just to say HI.

Also, if there is someone you'd like for Dyanne to interview, send
your suggestions to her at
dyanne@romanceslamjam.org.

First things first. We have someone who needs a cabin mate. Please
contact me if you are rooming alone and would consider sharing a
cabin.
deatri@romanceslamjam.org
I've received a few emails asking if there are still slots open for
the cruise. Yes there are. The cruise line has agreed to allow us to
continue booking. When all of the slots fill, I'll send out a blast
and also update the cruise page of the website.
Don't forget that after you've reserved your spot on the cruise, you
can start mailing in your payments instead of having to call the
cruiseline:
Mail payments to:
Carnival Cruise Line
MSRV 406N
P.O. Box 526170
Miami FL 33152
Make checks out to: Carnival Cruise Line
In memo place the RSJ Group Number and your cabin confirmation
number
Grp# 62BF31 Conf#
Passports will be required for this cruise. I know this
information is being repeated, but PLEASE don't wait until the last
minute. Speaking of which, I need to find mine. LOL.
If you need help arranging a roommate, contact
deatri@romanceslamjam.org. For other RSJ Cruise questions, contact
angelique@romanceslamjam.org
Stay tuned

newsletter. Wow, the last newsletter of the year. Though RSJ 2009
was cancelled, keep your heads up. Stay in touch. We have our
newsletter, blog, and book club. Many of the authors have fan clubs…
There are great things in store for the RSJ Family, you’ll see.
Peace
